In Fall of 2018 an ongoing humanitarian crisis, brought into Tijuana a large amount of people looking for asylum in the United States. The highly publicized "Migrant Caravan", saw large amount of organizations and community activism, as well as what people call shock tourism, or disaster tourism.
In that process BorderClick used photography to document the ongoing struggles being faced through the eyes of those who live and know this region. We brought support to the community with on the ground work, bringing supplies, helping folks with transportation, and supporting the needs of those on the ground and the organizations stepping up.
These are a series of photographs that tell part of that story. We share these to honor the lives who have been affected, and stand in solidarity with those looking for a better life.
